Toyota Announces 2021 Super Formula Driver Line-up

0n January 22, 2021 TOYOTA GAZOO RACING released its Super Formula driver line-up. 11 drivers from 6 teams will race in the TOYOTA/TRD TRD01F engine-powered machines.

Replacing 2019 Super Formula Season Champion Nick Cassidy, who will compete in Formula E, will be Ritomo Miyata.
Miyata, the 2020 Super Formula Lights Champion, picked up points twice last season while racing in Super Formula in place of 3-time 24 Hours of LeMans Champion Kazuki Nakajima.
Sena Sakaguchi, who finished 2nd in Super Formula Lights will be replacing 2015 & 2017 Super Formula Champion Hiroaki Ishiura. Sakaguchi raced in place of Kenta Yamashita, while Yamashita participated in WEC events for Toyota in 2020.
