Japan Race Promotion has released the Driver Line-up for Rd. 2 at Suzuka. Due to World Endurance Championship (WEC) commitments, both Kazuki Nakajima (Kuo VANTELIN TEAM TOM’S) and Kamui Kobayashi (KCMG) will miss this round. Kazuto Kotaka, who participated in Rd. 1, will once again drive in place of Kamui. Giuliano Alesi will take the wheel in place of Kazuki. Alesi drove in pre-season testing at Suzuka, but this will be his Super Formula debut race.

Sacha Fenestraz of KONDO RACING will not be driving again this race after missing both Rd. 1 at Fuji Speedway and pre-season testing due to pandemic related prevention measures. In his place once again will be Yuichi Nakayama.

Nobuharu Matsushita will be in the #51 car for B-Max Racing Team from Rd. 2 this season. He placed 3rd in Rd. 7 in 2020. Once again taking the wheel for DOCOMO TEAM DANDELION RACING will be Ukyo Sasahara.
