2022 SUPER FORMULA “Live” Broadcast & Streaming -Viewing-related information & Casting Announcement-

The promoter for SUPER FORMULA, Japan Race Promotion, announces the following information regarding the 2022 SUPER FORMULA “live” broadcast & streaming, and casting for this season, which will kick-off at Fuji Speedway on April 9, 2022.

In addition to JSports broadcasting all qualifyings & races this season on their BS & CS channels, as well as streaming on-demand, on April 1, 2022, SUPER FORMULA will begin its new premium membership-driven YouTube channel, which will feature streaming of all free-practice sessions, qualifyings, as well as races.

The following cast members will deliver all the action-packed moments to viewers, as SUPER FORMULA drivers push it to the limit on-track. Pierre Kitagawa will deliver the commentary in Japanese, as only he can, for both JSports and the SUPER FORMULA YouTube channel. Koudai Tsukakoshi and Juichi Wakisaka will provide the race analysis alongside Pierre. As with last season, racing driver Ai Miura will again be the pit reporter. She will be supported by motorsport enthusiasts Razor Ramon RG and partner Razor Ramon HG.

For our overseas fans, Sascha and Len Clarke will split duties for the English commentary. SUPER FORMULA 2010 champion J.P. de Oliveira, will be joining them to provide qualifying & racing analysis. Leah Mizumura will be working with them to give reports from the pits in English.

The entry plan for the YouTube channel is called [SF LIVE] and will be {90 yen per month*). This membership plan will allow viewers to enjoy qualifyings & races “live.” [SF LIVE+] will be (490 yen per month) and in addition to qualifyings & races “live,” all free practice sessions, as well as access to SUPER FORMULA archives can be enjoyed with this premium plan. In regard to [SF LIVE+] in 2023, we will release our digital platform [SFgo] that will feature on-board footage, car telementary data to allow viewers to enjoy enhanced driver’s focused racing, and coupling with that will be racing scenes from the 2013 SUPER FORMULA season on, for an incredibly appealing viewing experience for our fans to immerse themselves in.

To go along with the above plans, fans will be able to continue to watch SUPER FORMULA qualifying & race highlights, stage-based events from the circuits, as well as promotion videos all for no fee on our YouTube channel.

A [SF Live] free trial will be offered on April 9, 2022 (Sat) for both the qualifying & race for fans to take advantage of. We hope that those who can’t come out to the races on that day to see all 21 drivers face off, and those who haven’t experienced what SUPER FORMULA has to offer, will take advantage of this free trial offer.

As part of [SUPER FORMULA NEXT50], which Japan Race Promotion announced at the end of October 2021, we will deliver along with our numerous partners and fans, an all-new type of explosive entertainment experience for the world to enjoy.
